Can I import tickets from another helpdesk?

Yes — HelpCanvas supports CSV imports for tickets and customers. To import data from a previous helpdesk:

  1. Go to Settings › Import & Export.
  2. Download the CSV template for the data type you want to import (Tickets, Customers, or Articles).
  3. Fill in the template with your existing data, then upload it.
  4. Review the preview and click Confirm import.

Large imports (over 10,000 rows) are processed in the background. You will receive an email when the import is complete.

Tip: Always export a backup from your current helpdesk before importing into HelpCanvas.
