Can I import tickets from another helpdesk?
Yes — HelpCanvas supports CSV imports for tickets and customers. To import data from a previous helpdesk:
- Go to Settings › Import & Export.
- Download the CSV template for the data type you want to import (Tickets, Customers, or Articles).
- Fill in the template with your existing data, then upload it.
- Review the preview and click Confirm import.
Large imports (over 10,000 rows) are processed in the background. You will receive an email when the import is complete.
Tip: Always export a backup from your current helpdesk before importing into HelpCanvas.
